Honours Sales Techniques Masterclass
In October 2017, my University of Applied Sciences in 's-Hertogenbosch organised a special occasion for business students that wanted to have more challenges in their curriculum. I got chosen out of many applications to be part of an Honours Sales Class module for B2B and B2C purposes. Because this was an extracurricular program, I felt grateful to broaden my knowledge in the sales field. I worked together with several students from other locations and studies from Avans University of Applied Sciences.
Subjects that were discussed and practised:
- Selling and purchasing techniques
Negotiating and convincing
The SPIN selling-method
Consumer Psychology
I would say that this course really helped me in finding my interests. Paul Heise was our teacher during these 3 months who is a very skilled professional in sales which was delightful to learn from. We heard about real-life cases in terms of sales and we had presentations from experienced sales employees at big companies in The Netherlands as an addition.
I had so much more energy because of this experience because I did something which was new and additional next to my study. I met new people out of my study area which led to interesting conversations. It was a great and an instructive atmosphere.
