DAF Trucks Simulation Management Game

During my IBL study at Avans University of Applied Sciences, I was involved with a project for DAF Trucks in The Netherlands. Before starting this project, we got a company tour in the city Eindhoven in The Netherlands. This project was supposed to be a management game in which 3 chosen managers got the opportunity to lead the company through various business scenarios for DAF Trucks.

After pitching myself as a general director, I got chosen by the votes of the class. Next to me, I worked with Sam Spekman as a financial director and Juliet Doezé as a Marketing manager. The departments below us were: Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HRM and Production. In this whole project, we had to battle against 3 other classes with management and department teams of Avans University of Applied Sciences.

Through three international DAF Trucks scenarios, we proved ourselves to manage everything strategically and carefully with all the departments resulting in the first price and a certificate from Avans University of Applied Sciences.

This game showed me the way I can be responsible, communicative and motivating for a lot of departments. As a result of this, I really see myself working later in a management function.
